This course provides students with the opportunity to delve deeper into security monitoring. Through the use of Security Onion, an open source security monitoring system, students will explore how to monitor and analyze network traffic in real time to detect potential threats.
This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement and use Security Onion in a production environment. Students will learn how to install, configure, and customize this open-source security monitoring tool.
Requirements
To get the most out of this course, it is recommended that students have a basic knowledge of operating systems and networks, as well as experience installing and configuring software. Also, prior knowledge of computer security and network monitoring would be beneficial. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to apply the concepts and skills acquired in security monitoring in their own work environment.
